Celebration Hot Dogs
Ingredients
• 1/2 cup cola-style soda
• 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 2/3 cup barbecue sauce
• 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1 pound Sk Beef Wieners, Stadium Hot Dogs or Home Game Hot Dogs
• 8 hot dog buns, toasted
• 1 cup coleslaw
• 1/3 cup chopped onions, garnish
Directions
1. In a 12-inch skillet, over low heat, blend together soda, onion, sugar, barbecue sauce and mustard. Heat to simmer.
2. Add hot dogs, stirring to coat all surfaces. Cover and gently simmer, stirring occasionally, until hot dogs reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
3. Place hot dogs, with a little of the sauce into each bun. Top each with 2 tablespoons coleslaw and 1 to 2 teaspoons of chopped onions.
