Red Beans and Rice

This all-star southern favorite is easy and delicious! Everyone will love this twist on a classic Mardi Gras dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Stadium Hot Dogs 16 oz.
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup red or yellow pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 cans kidney beans - 15 oz. cans
  • 1 can tomato sauce - 15 oz.
  • 1 can petite diced tomatoes - 15 oz.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup chopped parsley

Directions

In a large pot, sauté onion, celery, peppers and garlic over medium heat until tender. Add the beans, hot dogs, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire, cayenne and parsley. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
